Apple has announced a new, cheaper model to its family of iMacs. The new 21.5-inch model starts from just RM3499, a huge price difference of RM800 from the previous cheapest iMac model, which still remains priced at RM4299.
The cheaper iMac features a 21.5-inch Full HD LED display, and will be powered by an Intel Core i5 1.4GHz dual-core processor with a fixed 8GB of RAM; the previous cheapest model featured a faster 2.7GHz Core i5 CPU and offers up to 16GB of RAM. This Core i5 processor also sports an integrated Intel HD Graphics 5000 instead of the Iris Pro integrated GPU on the RM4299 model. Beyond that, users can still configure the rest of the system, including storage options and the various professional software that can be pre-installed.
