Initially, we thought for subsequent Xiaomi sales we would just share the news on our social media channels. However, there’s something special about Xiaomi’s next round of Mi Power Bank sales coming next week: it will be available in not one, but two variants.
Xiaomi will be offering 10,000 Mi Power Bank (finally!) for its next round of sales next Tuesday at 12pm. On top of that, the company will be introducing a smaller-capacity variant of the 10,400mAh version that’s been seen in the past three sales. Coming in at 5,200mAh, this smaller variant will naturally weigh less and have a smaller footprint compared to the larger 10,400mAh version.
All in, that’s 15,000 Mi Power Banks coming next Tuesday. Though it might not be enough to satisfy the intense demand, it does show that the company appears to be listening to some criticism levelled at it, and is taking steps to improve.
The 10,400mAh Mi Power Bank will still retail at RM36, while the smaller 5,200mAh Mi Power Bank will be sold at RM25. At this point, it is not known if the two Mi Power Bank limit still holds if you purchase one of each variant, but we’ll update the post when there’s some clarification.
