Lenovo-1

While the fight for the top of the line smartphones is pretty much as raging with some of the best phones we’ve seen to date, this year we are also seeing a resurgence with the mid and low end devices. Smartphones are getting incredibly affordable and safe to say not only are we in a Flagship smartphone golden age, I believe we are in the Golden Age for smartphones in general. Lenovo have strengthened their mid-range and low-range smartphones today with the unveiling of 6 new devices across the A and S-Series.

The A-Series

Lenovo-5

Starting with the basics, the A526 is a core device for the masses. Sporting a 4.5Inch FWGA screen at 854×480 and running on a MT6582M 1.3GHz Quad-Core processor and 1GB of RAM with 4GB of internal storage. The A526 has a dual-SIM system as well as a 2,000mAh battery and is priced very competitively at RM469.

Lenovo-6

Going one step up is the A680. If you want a similar spec with the A526 but with a bigger screen, the A680 has a 5inch display running at the same 854×480 resolution. Other than that, the rest of the specs are the same, with the A526 and it will retail at RM499.

Lenovo-4

Sitting pretty at the top of the A-Series is the A859. The A859 is a 5Inch device with a 1280×720 IPS display and is being powered by the same MT6582M 1.2GHz quad-core processor as the other 2 in the series. Sporting 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal memory, the A859 also has a 8MP rear camera and 1.6MP front shooter. The battery on the A859 isn’t that much bigger with 2,250mAh but at RM719 RRP, it’s still a pretty decent buy.

The S-Series

Lenovo-3

The S-Series is Lenovo’s mid-range segment and pulling up the rear is the S650. Featuring the same processor as the A-Series phones as well as 1GB RAM, the S650 is the bridge between the 2 with a 4.7Inch qHD display at 960×540 8MP rear camera/0.3MP front camera and 2,000mAh battery. The S650 will retail for RM699

Lenovo-7

If you’re looking for a higher battery capacity but similar specs you have the S660. With all of the specs the same except a larger 3,000mAh battery the S660 is a decent device at RM749

Lenovo-8

Right at the top is the S860. With the same processor as the rest, the S860 flexes its muscle with a 5.3Inch 1280×720 IPS display and 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage. The S860 has a 8MP rear camera and 1.6MP front facer as well as a huge 4,000mAh battery it’s a pretty decent buy if you’re all about endurance and performance is second. The S860 will retail at RM1,169
