Now that the Malaysian launch of the Samsung Galaxy S5 is over, prepare for the preorders that will be starting today. Maxis has opened up its preorder for the latest flagship smartphone from Samsung, offering the Galaxy S5 from as low as RM1,399 when you sign up for a contract with the telco. As always, Maxis is offering the phone with a 12- or 24- months contract under its TalkMore or SurfMore postpaid plans.
Maxis is offering options from as low as RM50/month but if you’re a heavy user, you can pick the most advanced package of RM146/month. The breakdown of the plans offered for the Samsung Galaxy S5 bundle is as follows:
Since it’s a preorder, I think Maxis is only offering limited options for subscribers. When the device is fully launched into our market, 11 April 2014, the telco should be opening up the regular options like TalkMore78 with 1GB of data, TalkMore48 with 3GB data, and TalkMore28 with more data options. All preorders will receive their Samsung Galaxy S5 on the launch day itself.
Unfortunately, this preorder from Maxis is only for those subscribing for a new number. All you existing Maxis customers will have to wait for the next preorder, which will be happening on 3 April 2014.
