Misplacing your keys, or your phone or your loved one might be something that happens to all of us every once in a while, some more then others. Nokia is aiming to change all that with the Nokia Treasure Tag.
Measuring in at 30x30x10mm, the idea is to first pair the device up with your phone, and attach it to anything you wish to keep close to you. If the two become apart, both devices will emit a loud tone to alert you to the fact. If you forget your phone, chances are that you have your keys with you and you will be alerted. Nokia’s app allows you to pair up to four of these Treasure Tags to your phone simultaneously.
Each Treasure Tag is powered by a standard coin cell type (CR-2032) battery that Nokia claims will last up to 6 months before requiring replacements. The tags will come in four different colors, yellow, cyan, white and black.
Nokia expects to make the Treasure Tags available globally by April this year, and pricing is expected to be around USD29.90 (RM98) a piece.
