Astro has announced that its free NJOI service is now available to those who have inactive decoders. Customers who have a functional (but inactive) decoder and satellite dish can activate the service by registering at www.njoi.com.my/activate. The offer lasts from 1 February to 30 April 2014.
NJOI provides some 22 television channels and 20 radio channels with no monthly subscription. New subscribers only need to pay a one time fee for the decoder and satellite dish of RM428 (or RM328 for a refurbished unit). This new announcement simply allows existing owners of the decoder who have stopped subscribing to Astro’s regular service to continue enjoying content over their devices.
Customers of NJOI will also be able to purchase a special pass to watch Astro’s World Cup coverage which begins on 1 April 2014. Although the price and availability of this pass is still yet to be announced.
