Well what do you know, as rumored, Xiaomi, a smartphone manufacturer from China, is expanding its business beyond its home country and has landed in Singapore.
Former VP of Google Android and now vice president for Xiaomi Global, Hugo Barra, has recently made an official announcement for the arrival of Xiaomi in Singapore in his Google+ page. He also shared the official Xiaomi Singapore Facebook Page that has apparently been live since 13 May 2013. Details are scarce at the moment, according to Hugo Barra, details will be shared soon so stay tuned as we keep you updated.
According to Hugo Barra in his last interview in an event in Taiwan, Xiaomi has been looking to tap into the Southeast Asian market and now that they have started with Singapore, let’s hope Malaysia is next in the list. How many of you are excited to be closer to Xiaomi (officially) than before? I know I am.
