Sony Xperia Z3 Series
What’s the worst thing that could happen not too long after you’ve gotten your hands on the latest smartphone in the market? To read about just how awesome the next iteration is going to be, and could be launched in six month’s time. Sony has been rumoured to be working on four Sony Xperia Z4 devices, and on top of better hardware, they will also have sharper screens and better designs
According to rumours, Sony will be releasing four new Xperia Z-series devices namely the Xperia Z4 flagship smartphone, the Z4 Compact, Z4 Ultra and a Z4 Tablet. AndroidOrigin claims to have received detailed information about these four devices, which are scheduled for next year.
Sony Xperia Z4
The next flagship smartphone from the Japanese company is said to ditch the dock in favour of Qi wireless charging. In addition to that, the most hated flaps that covers the microUSB port will no longer be a problem because Sony will be removing them while maintaining the IP68 certification.
Sony Xperia Z4 Compact
The Z4 compact will maintain its 4.6” display but the resolution will be raised to 1080p instead of the current 720p. Like existing Z Compact series, the Z4 Compact will have near identical hardware as its bigger sibling.
Sony Xperia Z4 Ultra
Sony is rumoured to working on a next generation Z Ultra phablet. It will still have a 6.4” display but will use a QHD screen – let’s hope they remember to put in a flash for the rear camera.
Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet
During IFA 2014, Sony only unveiled a tablet called the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. The next release will be a larger tablet measuring at 10.1” and will probably have a QHD display as well, though, Sony is reported to be trying out UHD displays too. The bezels will be much smaller, and it will be powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor with a 64-bit octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It will come with a 13MP rear camera and a generous 8MP camera at the front.
