Razer Blade Now Available In Malaysia

Razer Blade Pro

The Razer Blade and Blade Pro are now available in Malaysia from both the Razerzone online store and physical retailers; making this the first time the gaming laptop has been officially sold in Malaysia. They are also set to punch a sizable hole in the wallets of gamers.

Razer Blade Pro Switch Blade

As an interesting point, the 14-inch Blade and the 17.3-inch Blade Pro do not share the same type of display. The smaller Blade brings a 10-point multi-touch QHD+ screen that is capable of a resolution of 3200 x 1800 pixels. On the other hand, the larger Blade Pro fits a relatively modest 1920 x 1080 full HD screen. The lack of touch capability on the Pro could be due to the inclusion of Razer’s patented Switchblade interface that functions as both a touchpad, mini-LCD display, and additional macro keys. However, it is interesting to note the huge difference in resolution across both devices.

To provide for the extra pixels being pushed on screen, the Razer Blade carries an NVIDIA GeForce GTX870M with 3GB GDDR5 RAM; as opposed to the GeForce GTX860M on the Razer Blade Pro. However, the Blade Pro does feature twice as much RAM (16GB) as the Blade.

Both Razer Blade models are available in with 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB SSDs, although retail stores in Malaysia will only be carrying the 256GB model. The Razer Blade 256GB is available from today for RM8,799; while the 256GB SSD variant of the Razer Blade Pro will retail for RM9,199. Other variations will be available on Razerzone when the page goes live later today.
