Nokia Lumia 630 Dual SIM

Even though it is only slated for launch next week, it seems like the new Nokia Lumia 630 has arrived in some stores ahead of the schedule. Not only that, it is also accompanied by another Nokia device in the form of the Android-based Nokia XL that was originally announced at Mobile World Congress earlier this year.

As mentioned before, the Nokia Lumia 630 is not only the first Windows Phone 8.1 device in the market but it is also first dual SIM device in Windows Phone’s family – the very variant that is available in Malaysian market. It features a 4.5-inch display alongside a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, 512MB RAM, 8GB internal storage and 5-megapixels rear camera.

Nokia Lumia 630 DualSomehow Nokia Lumia 630 doesn’t come in the usual blue coloured box as per previous Nokia devices. Interesting.

Meanwhile, the Nokia XL in general is the bigger brother of Nokia X. Featuring the same Android-based Nokia X user interface, the Nokia XL is equipped with 5-inch display alongside 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, 768MB RAM, 4GB internal memory, 5-megapixel rear autofocus camera, LED flash, and 2-megapixels front camera. The Nokia XL is also a dual-SIM device.

In terms of pricing, the Lumia 630 is priced at RM 549 as revealed by Nokia’s long-time distributor in Malaysia, Avaxx while the Nokia XL goes for RM 599. Yes, you read that right: the Android-based Nokia XL costs more than the Lumia 630 Windows Phone device…and we thought Nokia X family supposed to be the feeder series for Lumia, no?

Not to forget, the price of Nokia XL is also much higher that what was originally announced at MWC in Barcelona. Hmm.

Anyway, both devices already making rounds at several Nokia dealers (the picture above was snapped at Nokia Store in Mid Valley Megamall) but they are apparently scheduled to be available at more dealers from tomorrow onwards.
