After being rumoured for quite some time, Microsoft Office productivity suite has finally arrived on Apple iPad. Readily available for free on the App Store, the suite itself is divided into three separate apps: Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Before today, only OneNote app was made available for the tablet.
Despite being made for iPad, Microsoft promises that user’s Office documents on iPad will look the same as per what they seen on Windows PC or a Mac. In fact, the UI on Office’s iPad apps looked very similar to their desktop counterparts.

Through Office for iPad, users have the ability to view their Word and Excel documents as well as PowerPoint presentation for free. To create and edit documents, you need to be an Office 365 subscriber though. That being said, users still able to try out Office for iPad editing features as part of the usual Office 365’s 30 day trial.
