Maxis’ SurfMore postpaid plans – SurfMore50 and SurfMore75, are one of the best postpaid plans in the market targeted at users like myself who uses data more than anything else, but these SurfMore plans have one problem, their call and SMS rates are pretty expensive at up to 20sen/min and 15sen/SMS, that’s one of the most expensive rates out there.
If you’re on the SurfMore plan from Maxis but still wish to make calls at a reasonable price, the telco recently announced a new add-on bundle for its postpaid plans, allowing you to make calls and send SMSes with rates equivalent to 10sen/min and 5sen/SMS. The bundles are called More Voice and More SMS, which gives you 120 minutes of talk time at RM12/month and 120SMS at RM6/month. Both the add-ons are available to use to all networks.
The new add-on option is available on top of other benefits with Maxis SurfMore so yes, Astro users who are on SurfMore75 still get their extra 2GB of free data for Astro on the Go, and you can still purchase additional data of 500MB, 1GB or 5GB at RM10, RM15 and RM50 respectively.
