Gigabyte Windforce 3X 450W GTX Titan

As part of its global 2013 Tech Tour, the renowned Taiwanese manufacturer Gigabyte stopped by in Kuala Lumpur recently to showcase a number of new products and innovations that will be heading to the market very soon. Among numerous products that Gigabyte has shown at its visit here in KL is this gem: an NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan that has been equipped with the Gigabyte’s new Windforce 3X 450W thermal solution.

Essentially, what you see here is a GTX Titan with a custom cooler by Gigabyte. While that might sounds nothing out of ordinary since there are a lot of graphics cards out there that come with custom cooling right from factory but it is not exactly a norm for GTX Titan. NVIDIA is rather strict when it comes to this particular GPU which is why majority of the GTX Titan cards out there are equipped with either reference design coolers or liquid cooling.

It is not known whether NVIDIA has already loosen up its policy on the whole GTX Titan thermal solution subject or it is an elaborate experiment by Gigabyte to see if its Windforce 3X 450W goes well with the GPU but surely enough, the appearance of the graphics card at the event is rather fascinating.

The articles continues after the jump. Click on Read More link below to read further.

This is not the first Gigabyte’s graphics card that comes with the Windforce 3X 450W cooler though as the company has also offered the cooler with one of its NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 variants. The “450W” on its name is actually a reference to the cooler’s heat dissipation capability while the 3X is its triple fans setup.

Unfortunately, we were not able to obtain any performance data of the card itself. In fact, the demo machine that is hosting the card was not equipped with any driver or benchmarks that we can use to actually see the card in operation properly. Apparently, the unit we have seen here is actually a prototype and the company have no release or pricing information to announce at the time being – according to a Gigabyte representative at the event.

For the meantime, enjoy more images of the Gigabyte Windforce 3X 450W GTX Titan graphics below:
