It’s December 2013 and as promised by Sony last month, they have started rolling out Android 4.3 update for selected devices – Sony Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra, bringing a list of performance tweaks and new features to these two flagship devices. First up, the 6.4” Z Ultra will be blessed with the Smart Social Camera suite in the Android 4.3 update, giving users some of the features found on the Z1 – sharing media across social networks and the super fun AR effect.
Other changes include Project Butter performance & UI optimization, improved apps (messaging, TrackID, MyXperia, WALKMAN, Album, and more), a new custom interface experience called “Xperia Themes” with downloadable UI packs from Sony Select, the latest Android security enhancements, and more.
So all you Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra users, it’s time to check for an update and do let us know if it’s out. As for the rest of the Sony Xperia users, according to the blog post from the company, they will be rolling out the update for the remaining Xperia products soon so stay tuned.
