Even though Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia have announced that the Sony PlayStation 4 will be released in Malaysia on 20 December, they didn’t actually mention any public launch event during the PS4 Malaysian press event. Well folks, it turns out that the company didn’t forget about it and have confirmed to us through a media invite that they will be having a grand launch event for the console on the day of its arrival in Malaysia.
Specifically, the PS4 Malaysian launch event will take place at the entrance of the New Wing of 1 Utama on 20 December. We have also learned that the first three buyers of PS4 will be honoured at the event in the form of 10-year PlayStation Plus membership although SCEJA and Sony Malaysia have yet to provide information on how gamers could actually be part of these three lucky customers.
Additionally, we also believe that SCEJA and Sony Malaysia might have planned some activities at the venue throughout the weekend since the launch event will also act as roadshow for PS4 until 22 December. Not to forget, pre-order customers will be able to pick up their new PS4 at the same venue while visitors are also able to check out the new console themselves or even purchase one throughout the duration of the event.
