With only around two months to go before Sony PlayStation 4 arrived in Malaysia, it is natural that gamer’s interest in the console are generally quite significant at the moment. If you are considering the console yourself, we have one interesting news for you.
Apparently, the renowned game store Gamer’s Hideout (GH) has begun taking pre-order for the much anticipated game console. They have stated that the console is expected to cost under RM 1,699 although gamers need to pay only RM 100 for the time being as deposit. In general, the pre-order allows gamers to secure their PS4 unit as demands are expected to go through the roof once December rolls in.
Since Gamer’s Hideout branches are listed in the official PlayStation partner stores section at PlayStation Asia’s website, it is quite plausible that the RM 1699 price tag that they quoted is very close to the official price. That being said, as GH allows gamers to pre-order either Malaysian or Singaporean set, the actual cost to the customers will most probably be different in the end.
As a comparison, the price for PlayStation 4 in US has been set at USD 399 (RM 1,274) while it costs EUR 399 (RM 1,723) in Europe, GBP 349 (RM 1,776) in UK and JPY 39,980 (RM 1,305) in Japan. As for ourselves, we believe that the official price by SCEJA will be different but in case you want to secure your PS4 early…well, you know where to go.
