So, it has begun: the arrival of smartphones with curved display. Thanks to renowned serial leaker @evleaks, a press render of Samsung Galaxy smartphone with curved display has made its way into the net which further strengthen the rumours that we’ve been hearing for quite some time.
Rumoured to be called Samsung Galaxy Round, it looks like the company will indeed become the first outfit to offer such device in the market. This came just few days after LG have announced the mass production of world’s first flexible OLED panel for smartphones.
While the design is rather unique (for now), I do wonder if there are any special features that Samsung have included in the smartphone that actually take advantage of its design. I personally feel that it would be slightly wasteful if Samsung fully depends on the device’s curved design and expect consumers to flock over the device solely on that reason.
