Music plays an important role in our everyday lives and it looks like Spotify wants you to have a seamless experience with its music wherever you go with the new Spotify Connect. Spotify Connect is a new app that syncs your listening sessions to the cloud, so you can seamlessly switch between devices without interrupting your music. On top of that, the company is also working with several audio manufacturers such as Philips, Pioneer, Bang & Olufsen and more, to make Spotify Connect-compatible wireless speakers so you can switch from your smartphone to the speakers seamlessly.
This means that with the new Spotify Connect, you can be listening to a music on your smartphone and if you wish to change device, you can do so with a tap of the button and the audio will continue playing on the new device without any interruption.
Bring your music home. You’ve just walked through the door, listening to your favourite playlist on your phone. With Spotify Connect, simply hit play on your living room speakers and the music instantly fires up, right where you left off – making sure you never miss a beat.
No specific speakers have been mention, the Spotify Connect app will roll out to Spotify Premium subscribers on iPhone, iPad and home audio systems over the coming months, with Android and desktop updates to follow.
