The Sony Xperia ZR that was announced back in May is now officially here in Malaysia with a retail price of RM1,649. Boasting the ability to let you film Full HD videos underwater, the Xperia ZR is even more water resistant than the flagship Xperia Z, with the ability to be submerged under 1.5m of water.
It features a 4.55” 720p shatter proof display and is powered by a modest 1.5GHz Qualcomm quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. The specs may be slightly lower compared to the Xperia Z, but it features the same 13MP fast-capture rear camera with Exmor RS sensor and a whopping 16x digital zoom. Other specs include Mobile Bravia Engine 2, NFC , and LTE connectivity on board.
No words have been mentioned as to whether the device has officially arrived at Sony Centers around Malaysia, but it’s available for purchase (black or white options only) on the official Sony Malaysia’s website with Easy Payment Scheme.
