Here’s something all Adobe users who have ever purchased a product online from the company must be aware of, Adobe was recently hacked and as many as 2.9 million Adobe customers’ details were compromised. According to the investigation from the internal team, the attackers accessed Adober customer IDs and encrypted passwords in the system, taking along other information such as customer names, encrypted credit or debit card numbers, expiration dates and other details of customer orders. Although Adobe stated on their blog they do not believe that the attackers removed decrypted information from their system, do still be on the lookout for suspicious activities on your credit or debit cards.
As for things over at Adobe, they are resetting the password for affected Adobe ID accounts and if you were one of the unfortunate 2.9 million users, you will receive an email notification from Adobe telling you what to do. Adobe is also in the process of notifying customers whose credit or debit card information to be involved in the information. Adobe has also notified banks processing customer payments for Adobe, so they can work with the payment card companies and card-issuing banks to help protect customers’ accounts.
