A rather interesting rumour has just come into our knowledge just as TM officially announced their HyppTV Everywhere and HyppTV for Streamyx yesterday. It is expected to be big one from the folks at TM… if proven to be true, of course.
According to our insider sources, TM will be offering English Premier League coverage on HyppTV very soon. Not much in-depth details were revealed to us with the exception of that the company have partnered with Astro to make it possible in a way that is similar to TM’s current arrangements with UEFA Champions League and Europa League contents for HyppTV.
It is indeed not the first time we heard of such plan since the rumor of EPL coverage on HyppTV has already pop up last week but instead of still being in negotiation, our sources stated that it is a done deal and the official announcement of EPL’s coverage on HyppTV will take place real soon. That being said, our sources stopped short of revealing the actual date.
Meanwhile, we have actually asked about this project during the HyppTV Everywhere press conference yesterday but didn’t received any official confirmation (or denial) from TM’s higher ups that were present at the conference. Well then, let’s see how true this rumour is going to be once the time comes.
