Huawei Announces Huawei Mediapad 7 Vogue

Huawei recently announced its latest mid-range Android tablet that allows you to make voice calls – the MediaPad 7 Vogue that packs the functionality of a tablet, smartphone and entertainment center in one. As suggested by its name, the device is a 7” tablet that ships with Wi-Fi only option or Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity so you can make calls and have access to the web while you’re on the go.

We’re delighted to introduce the MediaPad 7 Vogue, our call-enabled tablet with world-class entertainment capabilities and long-lasting battery power. The MediaPad 7 Vogue is a perfect example of Huawei’s dedication to making extraordinary experiences possible.” – Richard Yu, Chief Executive Officer, Huawei Consumer Business Group.

The latest 7” device from Huawei features an aluminum unibody and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 16-core GPU for fluid 3D gaming experience and 1080p full HD video playback. Other specs include a 1,024 x 600 IPS display, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage expandable via microSD, 3MP rear camera, 4,100mAh battery, 9.5mm thin, and weighs a mere 335grams.

Software wise, it will run on Android 4.1 out of the box with Huawei’s proprietary Emotion UI 1.5. The device comes with Micro USB port, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Airsharing functionalities. It will be available in China by end of this month in black or white color option and according to the press release, it will be released in other markets though, they made no mention on specific region or timeline.
