E3 2013: Xbox One Coming To 21 Markets This Nov, Priced At Around RM 1600

Microsoft Xbox One

E3 2013 is finally here and Microsoft is opening their campaign at the event through the Xbox press conference which has just concluded few hours ago. Among things that they talked about during the event is the commercial availability of the new Xbox One. Apparently, the new console will be available in 21 markets throughout the world this coming November.

We are still looking for the full list of the said launch countries (Xbox’s website is not helping, so far) but it is highly doubtful that Malaysia is included in the list since Malaysia’s Xbox website is still limited to Windows 8 and Windows Phone. There is Xbox One link of the site’s header but clicking on it would only bring users to UK’s Xbox website.

Pricing-wise, the Xbox One will be priced at RM 1,565 (USD 499.99) in United States while the price tag for European markets is set to RM 2,066 (EUR 499) and in UK at RM 2088 (GBP 429). Each Xbox One console which is equipped with 500GB hard drive, a Blu-ray drive and built-in WiFi will be accompanied by the brand new Kinect, an Xbox One Wireless Controller and 14-days trial of Xbox Live Gold for new users.

We still have a lot to discuss about Microsoft’s Xbox E3 press conference and not to forget, we will also be discussing Sony’s E3 press conference which is going to take place at 9am (Malaysian time) later today. So, stay tuned.

[UPDATE (403AM): We finally found the list and as expected, Malaysia is not in the list. However, none of the official Asian Xbox Live countries such as Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan are in the list as well. That is rather odd.]
