Samsung Galaxy S4 With LTE Appears On SIRIM’s Database

Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE on SIRIM

Few weeks ago, we have reported that Malaysia might be receiving both LTE and non-LTE variant of Samsung Galaxy S4. While the non-LTE model (GT-I9500) has already been listed on SIRIM’s database for some time, the LTE-capable version (GT-I9505) has only appeared on the database today.

Apart from their LTE differences, the GT-I9505 is also powered by a different chipset as compared to the GT-I9500. Specifically, the GT-I9505 comes with a quad-core 1.9GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset while the non-LTE GT-I9500 variant runs on Samsung’s own octa-core 1.6GHz Exynos 5410 chipset.

As interesting as this listing might be, there lies one very important question: how soon will the consumers be able to get their hands on the LTE variant of Samsung Galaxy S4? Well, we hope that we will be able to get the answer to that question at the device’s launch event this coming weekend.
