With an exploding number of devices in the market like smartphones and even tablets, you’re going to need a data plan to allow you to fully utilize your gadget right? U Mobile recently introduced a new Prepaid Mobile Internet Plan, UMI 18, at only RM18/month. On top of being able to surf the internet, UMI 18 also comes with 25 minutes of free calls and 25 free SMS to all networks. The “unlimited” plan comes with 250MB of “High Speed Quota” according to U Mobile but if you exceed it, there will be no extra charges.
Unlike DiGi’s new tablet plans that were introduced recently going off from as low as RM15/month, UMI 18 allows you to make calls so if you were to get yourself a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 or Galaxy Tab 2 tablets which can make calls and send SMS, this plan does come in pretty handy. The free calls and SMS can be accumulated to a maximum of 50 minutes and 50 SMS.Alternatively if you’re a heavier user who requires more “high speed data”, there is also UMI 28 that comes with 500MB, 100mins and 30SMS.
