After making rounds in Japan and United States posing as Butterfly J and Droid DNA, HTC’s gigantic Android smartphone will finally spread its wing to other markets throughout the world. The unveiling of the device which is called HTC Butterfly for markets outside of Japan and US was rather uneventful though – there was no official announcement or anything close to it.
If you not familiar with the device, the major attraction of HTC Butterfly is its 5-inch full HD 1080p Super LCD 3 display with pixel density of 440 ppi and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2. Runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the device is powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor that is paired together with 2GB of RAM and 16GB worth of internal storage which can further expanded through the use of microSD memory card of up to 32GB.
In terms of photography, HTC Butterfly boasts an 8-megapixels camera with BSI sensor, f2.0 aperture and 28mm lens together with 2.1-megapixels wide angle front-facing camera. Furthermore, it also features Beats Audio enhancement as well as a non-removable 2020 mAh battery.
