Xiaomi To Launch Mi Charge Turbo 30W Wireless Charging For Mi 9 Pro 5G

Xiaomi has announced that the upcoming Mi 9 Pro 5G will be getting a massive 30W wireless charging support via Mi Charge Turbo technology. The wireless charger is said to be able to charge a 4,000mAh phone battery from 0% to 50% in just 25 minutes.

Xiaomi previously revealed it’s 20W wireless charger during the launch of the Mi 9. Now Xiaomi is taking another step further with its 5G Pro variant with the 30W wireless charger.

Additionally, Xiaomi introduced two new wireless chargers, a 30W Fan-cooled Wireless Charging Stand and a 20W Smart Tracking Wireless Charging Pad. The fan-cooled charger features an air duct that blows directly at the phone for heat dissipation. Meanwhile, the smart tracking charger will contain coils that automatically track and align themselves to a smartphone.

Xiaomi also revealed that the Mi 9 Pro 5G will support 10W reverse charging. This means that when the phone is being charged via a cable, the phone will be able to double as a wireless charging pad. Allowing other devices capable of wireless charging to take advantage of its feature. Surprisingly, if the phone is being charged wirelessly, it can also supply power to other phones, albeit via OTG cables.

On another note, the Chinese phone maker revealed that it is also testing the 40W wireless charger, but it doesn’t look like we won’t be seeing a finished product anytime soon. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see what Xiaomi has to offer for its upcoming Mi 9 Pro 5G.
