AirAsia Move has announced MOVETIX, which it calls its dedicated event platform. As the company describes it, the launch of the platform will make it “easier for travellers to plan trips around live events with a new offering that brings flights and official event tickets together in a simple booking”. In case you missed it, this means that you can now book tickets to live events via the very same AirAsia Move app.
Of course, the idea here is that you book your entire trip via the app, from transportation to the airport, the flight, your accommodation while you’re at your destination, and tickets to the live event in question. During the launch event, the company says that booking the event and flight tickets together this way saves travellers up to 20% over buying them separately. On the other end of the equation, the company says this “also helps event organisers reach high-intent audiences beyond their home markets, connecting their events with travellers who are actively planning trips around live event experiences”.

The event benefitting from the debut of the MOVETIX platform within the AirAsia Move app is the Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP) 2026. It is described as one of Southeast Asia’s biggest electronic dance music festivals. Booking both via the aforementioned method can cost “as low as RM1,300 for general admission event ticket + flights from Kuala Lumpur to Jakarta”. That’s after the 20% savings previously mentioned, of course.
Hassan Choudhury, Head of MOVETIX by AirAsia Move, said “DWP is an exciting first launch with Ismaya Group, and we look forward to working with more organisers across Asean and beyond to help them reach new audiences and unlock more value from the travel demand their events create”. Tony Fernandes, CEO of Capital A, added, “as live events increasingly inspire people to travel, we see a huge opportunity to connect more people with the music, culture and movements they love across Asean”.
