The ticketing page for the Formula 1 (F1) Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix at the Sepang International Circuit is now back online, confirming the ticket prices that were briefly leaked earlier this week. This means Malaysian fans can indeed get three-day passes for the relocated race from as little as RM200, provided they meet the eligibility requirements.
The race is scheduled to take place from 2 to 4 October 2026, after Bahrain’s original Grand Prix was relocated to Malaysia due to geopolitical tensions in the region. Despite being held at Sepang, the event retains its Bahrain Grand Prix identity, with Bahrain International Circuit handling the ticketing and revenue.
Malaysian Ticket Prices Start From RM200
As previously reported, the official ticketing page lists six seating categories for Malaysian citizens, with the discounted prices available to valid MyKad holders. The confirmed three-day ticket prices, inclusive of tax, are:
- G Hillstand: RM200
- B Hillstand: RM809.60
- C Hillstand: RM809.60
- F Grandstand: RM1,291.40
- K1 Grandstand: RM1,386
- Main Grandstand: RM2,083.40
These are essentially the same prices that appeared in the leaked ticketing page earlier this week before it was taken down. The official website now confirms that the discounted tickets are specifically tied to Malaysian eligibility. Buyers will need to provide a valid MyKad for verification, while any discounted ticket that does not correspond to a valid MyKad or otherwise fails to meet the eligibility criteria will be invalidated.
Additionally, children under three years old can enter for free, although they will not be allocated a physical seat. Children aged three to six are also eligible for a 25% discount on most tickets, with the RM200 G Hillstand excluded from this discount.
Ticket Prices For Non-Malaysians
The ticketing page also confirms separate pricing for international fans, with the cheapest three-day ticket starting at US$218.90 (around RM894) for the C Hillstand. The same child admission rules and 25% discount for children aged three to six apply to international tickets as well. The international ticket prices are:
- C Hillstand: US$218.90 (~RM894)
- B Hillstand: US$218.90 (~RM894)
- F Grandstand: US$379.39 (~RM1,550)
- K1 Grandstand: US$350.13 (~RM1,430)
- Main Grandstand: US$566.05 (~RM2,312)
While the prices displayed on the website are in different currencies, transactions will ultimately be processed in Bahraini dinars (BHD) based on the prevailing exchange rate at the time of purchase. This means the final amount charged may vary slightly depending on the exchange rate when the transaction is completed.
Ticketing Page Temporarily Unavailable
At the time of writing, ticket purchases are currently available through the Bahrain GP website. However, the organisers said “overwhelming demand” from Malaysian fans had temporarily disrupted online ticket purchases.
A notice on the website said the organisers were working to improve the online purchasing experience and urged fans to monitor the Bahrain GP’s social media channels for updates on ticket availability.
