The Frame TV by Samsung is a pretty esoteric option in the smart TV market space. After all, it can double as a slideshow-capable picture frame when not in use. So it’s perhaps not too surprising that fellow South Korean tech brand LG wants in on the action too. What is surprising though is that it took this long for it to announce the LG Gallery TV.
Also, while it’s been announced, it’s not actually launched yet. The company says that it will be unveiling the Gallery TV at CES 2026 instead. It will be made available in 55- and 65-inch models, and features the brand;s MiniLED tech. The screen will also be getting a glare-reducing screen to minimise glare and reflections, plus also adjusting picture quality to changing ambient light. It will also pack the Alpha 7 AI processor and a virtual 9.1.2 channel audio.
While not specified, company says the Gallery TV “offers plenty of internal memory for users to curate and store their favourite content”. Otherwise, there’s the LG Gallery Plus subscription service. This is claimed to be “a library of over 4,500 monthly-refreshed works”. Beyond the image side of things, the subscription also incorporates background music to your slideshow. The company says users can also stream their own playlists via Bluetooth. But it’s unclear for now if this is locked behind the subscription.
And on that note, the company is naturally keeping pricing details – of the TV itself and the subscription – close to its chest for now. International details will likely be part of the CES 2026 launch, with local details in the months to follow. If it happens at all, that is.
