Suzuki Malaysia and its sole distributor, Naza Eastern Motors Sdn Bhd, has launched the Fronx Hybrid for the local market. It only comes in one version, compared to the variants that were expected as in the Indonesian market.
Design-wise, the Fronx features a coupe-like silhouette and dimensions of 3,995 mm in length, 1,765 mm in width, 1,550 mm in height and a wheelbase of 2,520 mm. The front of the car features slim rectangular split LED lighting that integrates the LED DRLs, with the LED headlights positioned just below. A similar design approach is applied at the rear, where the tail lamps combine the brake and turn signals.

The front fascia also houses the chrome-accented front grille. Other features include the wheel arch extensions, roof rails and skid plates along the front, rear and side of the compact SUV. Completing the exterior design of the car are the 16-inch alloy wheels. In addition to that, the Fronx is offered in two-tone shades in which a black top is paired with a choice of Rising Orange, Savanna Ivory and Ice Greyish Blue. If you wish to get the car in a single tone, then your choices include Pearl Mellow Deep Red, Cool Black, Pearl Snow White and Magma Grey.

The interior of the SUV comes with a two-tone shade and seats that feature a three-dimensional contoured design. It also comes with a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel and a nine-inch infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, it also offers a Head-Up Display (HUD) and a 360-degree camera system.
According to the automaker, the Suzuki Fronx has a quiet cabin with NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) performance. The Fronx also has seven multiple compartments, offers 308 litres of boot space and 60:40 split-folding rear seats.
As mentioned above, the SUV features a hybrid powertrain which combines a 1.5-litre K15C four-cylinder hybrid petrol engine and a 12V-10Ah lithium-ion battery. Together, the car produces 103 PS and 138 Nm of torque. The power is managed by a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Other than these, the model features a 37-litre fuel tank and, with the battery combined, it offers a WLTP range of 700 km.
Safety-wise, the Suzuki Fronx comes with Suzuki Safety Support, which includes six airbags and ABS with EBD and Brake Assist. Additionally, it comes with Hill Hold Control (HHC), Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Dual Sensor Brake Support II (DSBS II), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Blind Spot Monitor (BSM), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and many more.

With all of these features, the Fronx Hybrid is priced at RM147,888 (on the road without insurance). The price includes a three-year/100,000 km vehicle warranty and a five-year/100,000 km battery warranty. In conjunction with the launch, customers are offered an Early Bird package which is valid until 31 December 2025. It comes with a choice of a RM4,000 rebate or a free Suzuki Genuine Accessories Package that includes a multi-roof rack, roof basket, and door visor. Another choice is three years of free maintenance.
