Gigabyte officially launched its new X870E Aorus Xtreme X3D AI TOP motherboard. As per the brand’s official press release, the motherboard is purpose-built for AMD’s Ryzen X3D CPUs and comes equipped with many modern PC features.
Chief among the features is an X3D Turbo Mode 2.0, thanks to a new built-in AI model and improved circuitry that optimises and boosts the performance of AMD’s 3D V-Cache processors. All of it can be activated by one click, and the motherboard would boost performance by up to 25%.

One aesthetic feature built into the X870E Aorus Xtreme X3D AI TOP is an LCD Edge View display, which shows off different artworks and presumably can be reprogrammed via the dedicated software. Additionally, the motheraboard also comes with what Gigabyte calls a CPU Thermal Matrix, which can be screwed directly on top of the X3D CPU and has the ability to reduce temperatures by as much as 8.5°C on the CPU, and up to 6°C for the neighbouring DDR5 RAM.
Other physical features include a DDR Wind Blade XTREME fan that sits on top of the memory slots, designed to streamline airflow through the DDR5 memory modules. Additionally, there’s the M.2 Thermal Guard Xtreme cooling solution for the SSDs, featuring built-in 5mm fans and heatsinks. Lastly, the entire motherboard is fitted with large fin arrays. Heck, even the rear IO ports have small vents cut into its shield.

Specs-wise, the X870E Aorus Xtreme X3D AI TOP supports all Ryzen 7000X3D and 9000X3D series processors and up to 256GB DDR5 with speeds of up to 9,000MT/s. As is the trend, the motherboard comes with a couple of PCIe Gen5 M.2 slots, plus a couple of PCIe Gen4 slots.
Connectivity-wise, the motherboard comes with support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. For IOs, there’s two USB4 ports, along with a healthy number of USB-A 3.2 Gen2 ports, as well as USB-C 3.2 Gen2 ports.
At the time of writing, Gigabyte did not provide local pricing or availability.
