The iconic Renault Twingo has taken a new form, a fully electric hatchback known as the Twingo E-Tech. The new-generation hatchback is offered in two variants: Evolution and Techno.
Design-wise, the EV still possesses the same silhouette as its predecessors, with a refreshed exterior and interior. The front fascia features a newly designed half-moon-shaped LED daytime running light, complemented by rectangular LED headlights. These are paired with a newly designed grille and air intakes, enhancing its modern appearance.
At the rear, the car features the same half-moon-shaped LED taillights, while a black strip conceals the brake lights. The exterior is completed with 16-inch wheels for the Evolution trim, while the Techno variant gets the same 16-inch wheels in a two-tone finish.
Inside, the cabin is equipped with a 7-inch digital instrument panel and a 10-inch central infotainment system. In the Techno trim, the infotainment system integrates Google built-in applications such as Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play.

Like the first-generation Twingo, the Twingo E-Tech Electric features a cheerful interior with oblong elements that are colour-coordinated with the body. This includes the side trims on the front doors (all versions) and the dashboard strip facing the passenger (white on the Evolution version, body-coloured on the Techno version).
Other features include sliding rear seats, which can move independently forward and backward by 17 cm. The interior also offers 50 litres of underfloor storage, 19 litres of cabin storage, and a 360-litre boot capacity.

In terms of performance, the Twingo E-Tech comes with a single motor producing 60 kW of power and 175 Nm of torque. It has a top speed of 130 km/h and completes the 0–100 km/h sprint in 12.1 seconds. The motor is powered by a 27.5 kWh LFP battery, offering a WLTP range of up to 262 km.
Additionally, the Techno variant of the Twingo features a One Pedal function, allowing the EV hatchback to come to a stop without the driver pressing the brake pedal. The Techno trim also includes adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go functionality.

In terms of charging, the Twingo E-Tech supports a 6.6 kW AC charger as standard. Accompanied by a 5-metre Mode 3 cable, ideal for wall box outlets, it charges the battery from 10% to 100% in just 4 hours and 15 minutes. It also supports 11 kW AC charging, enabling a 10% to 80% charge in just 30 minutes.
As of now, the EV hatchback is slated to make its debut in the European car market in early 2026. There is currently no news on the car being offered in other markets, including Asia.
