It’s been a couple of years since U Mobile first launched the U Home 5G home broadband plan. It has since gone through a few iterations, but it was locked to customers in Peninsular Malaysia. More recently, the telco has announced U Home 5G Borneo for – you guessed it – Sabah and Sarawak.
For the most part, the Borneo offering is identical to its Peninsular counterpart. Which is to say that U Mobile is offering subscribers unlimited data at uncapped speeds. If you have your own 5G router, then you can sign up for the U Home 5G Borneo contract-free.
If you don’t, or want another one as a spare, then you can opt into a two-year contract in exchange for a “game-grade” router. This looks to be identical to what the telco is offering for its Peninsular customers. Either way, the U Home 5G Borneo costs RM58 a month, though this is noted to be a promotional price.
For an additional RM30 a month, you can also have sooka Premium bundled into your U Home 5G Borneo plan. For between RM64 and RM217 a month on top of that, you could also get a 4K TV with your bundle as well. You can find out more by heading to the plan’s official page, linked here.
