Samsung is preparing to launch Project Moohan soon, possibly sometime later this month. While the company has only shared bits and pieces on the mixed reality headset, a recent leak may have given us the full picture ahead of the device’s official debut. This leak includes a set of renders and the key specifications of the headset, which might be called Galaxy XR.

According to a report by Android Headlines, the device will feature a 4K micro-OLED display with a pixel density of 4,032 ppi. This amounts to a total of 29 million pixels, which is higher than the 23 million featured in the Apple Vision Pro and the Meta Quest 3. Aside from that, it will sport a total of six cameras for tracking gestures. This includes four sensors on the front, and two on the bottom. Meanwhile, a depth sensor in the forehead area will serve to identify boundaries like walls.

Beyond that, the headset will include four cameras on the inside. These sensors will track the user’s eye movements with the help of AI for accuracy. Additionally, the device will feature a set of microphones. These microphones can distinguish the user’s voice from surrounding noises, as well as identify other people’s voices.

A Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 processor will power the Galaxy XR. The headset will run on Android XR via what might be called “One UI XR”. The report includes some screenshots of what the interface will look like. As for the battery life, the headset will reportedly offer 2.5 hours of video playback. With regular use, it will last two hours.

Furthermore, the headset will include plenty of cushions for comfort. A dial lets the user adjust the strap. Other features include a touchpad on the right side of the headset, as well as a power connector on the opposite side. This lets the wearer connect the device to a power source. The entire package apparently weighs 545g, placing it somewhere between the Vision Pro and the Meta Quest 3.

Finally, the leak revealed two controllers, which will come with the headset. These controllers will allow for more accurate hand tracking in certain contexts, like gaming. Additionally, they will feature haptic feedback.
