Maxim Malaysia has introduced a new initiative called the ‘Zero-Cost PSV’ programme, under which the e-hailing company will fully cover the cost of obtaining a Public Service Vehicle (PSV) licence for all new driver-partners. The programme aims to eliminate financial barriers for aspiring drivers, providing them with support from the very beginning of their e-hailing journey.
Under Malaysian e-hailing regulations, drivers are required to complete a Public Service Vehicle (PSV) course and undergo a medical check-up at a certified driving institute. The entire process typically costs around RM250 and takes about one to two weeks to complete.

To ease this upfront financial burden, Maxim Malaysia will fully reimburse new drivers for both the PSV course and medical check-up fees upon submission of their official receipts to a Maxim representative. The reimbursement will be credited as bonuses directly into the driver’s Taxsee Driver account.
Maxim further explained that with the reimbursed funds, new drivers can start accepting orders on the platform immediately after obtaining their PSV licence without paying any commission fees. The platform’s standard commission will instead be automatically deducted from their account balance. This arrangement enables drivers to retain 100% of their earnings until the credited amount is fully utilised, effectively giving them a commission-free head start on their e-hailing journey.

“By removing the financial hurdle, we are not only easing the onboarding process but also investing in the growth and success of our partners,” said Director of Maxim Malaysia, Mohd Hazwan Musley. “Our goal is to make starting an e-hailing career as seamless and supportive as possible.”
Maxim also added that besides the financial aid, it will provide guidance to new drivers throughout the process of obtaining their PSV licence. The company will assist drivers during registration, conduct educational sessions on road safety and passenger care, and collaborate with certified driving schools to ensure easy access to training.
