Home appliance brand PRISM+ has added a new bunch of smart TVs into its product catalogue. These are the new U-series QD Mini-LED TVs. They run Google TV, and come in four sizes, which are 55, 65, 75- and 86 inches. Conveniently, they are also simply called the U55, U65, U75 and U86. And fortunately, despite the size differences, they all share the same feature set otherwise.

Starting with the nature of the QD Mini-LEDs themselves, PRISM+ claims that these provide a picture quality that’s close to OLED. This is thanks to LEDs that completely switch off, providing truer blacks, and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. For the U-series TVs, these come with 2.1 sound, involving two 30W speakers and a 40W woofer. These are found at the back of the TVs, supporting stand and wall-mount setups.

Not uncommon these days for TVs are gaming monitor-like features. For the PRISM+ U-series QD Mini-LED TVs, this comes in the form of variable refresh rates going up to 144Hz. This necessitates at least a HDMI 2.1 port, and the good news is that these TVs come with two, with an additional HDMI 2.0 port. There are also two USB-A ports for those who prefer to use them.

For their prices, the PRISM+ U55 QD Mini-LED TV is priced at RM2,699. The U65 instead costs RM3,699, followed by the U75 and U86, costing RM5,099 and RM8,499 respectively. Pre-orders for these start on 3 October, but actual availability will begin sometime in early November. During the pre-order period, the TVs will all be discounted by RM100, besides the largest model, which is discounted by RM500.
