The Huawei Watch GT 6 series is not the only new product to debut at today’s event. The brand also unveiled the Watch Ultimate 2 as the sequel to last year’s Watch Ultimate. Like its predecessor, the premium smartwatch sports a zirconium-based liquid metal case and ceramic bezels.
The watch display is a 1.5-inch 466 x 466 LTPO AMOLED touchscreen with sapphire glass protection. This screen has a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. Aside from an IP69 rating, the wearable is rated 20 ATM. Furthermore, the watch is certified under the EN 13319 standard, offering support for diving up to 150m with audio functions like calling and music playback.
In addition to this, the watch comes with a sonar-based underwater communication feature. This capability allows divers to send messages and emojis to each other without needing any additional equipment. It works within a range of 30m. Furthermore, there is also an underwater SOS function that supports a maximum range of 60m.
Moreover, Huawei has equipped the watch with its X-TAP technology. This lets the device track metrics like blood oxygen in addition to heart rate and sleep monitoring. As usual, the watch comes with the TruSense system for health insights.
Other features include an improved GPS, eSIM support, and AI noise cancellation. The wearable also packs some safety features like Fall Detection, Emergency SOS, and High-Altitude Monitoring. As with the Watch GT 6 Pro, it also comes with a golf course mode with over 17,000 maps. As for battery life, it offers up to 11 days of light use, or six days of regular use.
The Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 comes in two colours: black and blue. The black model is priced at RM3,499, while the blue version retails for RM3,999. The wearable is available for pre-order at the brand’s physical outlets, official website, and stores on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop. Customers getting the watch can receive free gifts worth up to RM1,305, including the Huawei FreeClip, two years of Huawei Care+, and three months of Huawei Health+.
Alongside the Watch Ultimate 2, the brand has also debuted a blue colourway for the Watch D2. It’s essentially the same wearable released last year, just with a brand new colour. Alongside this new variant, the brand is also upgrading the blood pressure monitoring functionality across all models with single and recurring reminder features.
As with the other products launched today, it is available for pre-order for RM1,699 via the same channels and comes with free gifts. In this case, customers can get a Huawei Scale 3 and two years of Huawei Care+.
