LG has added two new members to its UltraGear line up of gaming monitors, each of a different size. These are the UltraGear OLED 32GX870A and UltraGear OLED 45GX950A, with the first two numbers indicating their sizes. The latter is also wider, at a 21:9 aspect ratio. Both of them feature what the brand calls Dual-Mode, which means two different caps for refresh rates.
Starting with the smaller model of the two, the LG UltraGear OLED 32GX870A is a 32-inch 4K UHD display. Its Dual-Mode manifests in having refresh rate caps of 240Hz and 480Hz. Though using the latter means locking your resolution at Full HD instead. It has a GtG response time of 0.03ms, covers 98.5% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, and gets NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, as well as support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.
Input options include two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 2.1. As you’d expect from a gaming monitor, you get to tilt, swivel and pivot the screen, and well as adjusting its height to best suit your sitting position.
Moving on to the LG UltraGear OLED 45GX950A, most of the specs of the smaller model applies here. Some clear differences are naturally the size, as well as the aforementioned wider aspect ratio. Also different are the Dual-Mode refresh rates – this goes up to 165Hz with its full WUHD (5,120 x 2,160) resolution. It can also get access to 330Hz refresh rates, but this locks the resolution down to WFHD (2,560 x 1,080).
LG says that both monitors are now open for pre-order, up until 25 October. Get it during this period, and the UltraGear OLED 32GX870A will see its price being cut down from RM7,729 to RM4,639, with free gifts thrown in as well. As for the larger UltraGear OLED 45GX950A, pre-ordering cuts down the price from RM9,429 to RM5,659.
