Apple is preparing to ramp up production of its next generation of Macs, according to Mark Gurman. In the latest Power On newsletter, the Bloomberg journalist wrote that the company is “nearing mass production of its next MacBook Pros, MacBook Airs and two new Mac monitors.”
The refreshed lineup is expected to launch between the end of this year and the first quarter of 2026. These would also mark the debut of the company’s next-generation Apple silicon in consumer Macs.
Earlier this year, Gurman noted that the M5-powered MacBook Pro would begin production in the second half of 2025. Apple has historically released new MacBook Pros in the fall, followed by the MacBook Air refresh the following spring. However, in July, he suggested that Apple may be shifting its schedule slightly, with the next MacBook Pro now internally targeted for an early 2026 release.

Alongside the laptops, Apple is also said to be planning to update its desktop monitor range. One of the two upcoming models is believed to be a new version of the Studio Display, which was first introduced in March 2022. Rumours point toward a mini-LED upgrade this time around, promising better brightness levels and improved colour performance.
