Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad has announced that its Mastercard Debit and Credit Card-i cards are now supported on Google Pay and Samsung Wallet. This allows cardholders to add their cards to either app for contactless payments, using only their Android smartphones or smartwatches without the need for a physical card.
The rollout follows similar moves by other major banks in Malaysia, expanding the accessibility of digital wallets for more users. With this addition, Bank Islam customers can enjoy a faster and more secure payment experience, whether online or at physical terminals that accept contactless transactions.

In conjunction with the launch, the bank is offering a TruPoints reward campaign for its Mastercard Credit Card-i users who make payments through Google Pay or Samsung Pay. Between 9 September and 31 December 2025, customers who make at least five transactions using a supported digital wallet will receive 2,500 TruPoints.
For those who reach a cumulative spending of RM1,000 each month during the campaign, an additional 5,000 TruPoints will be awarded. These points can be redeemed under the bank’s existing rewards programme.
