Apple kicked off its “Awe Dropping” event with the introduction of the long-anticipated successor to the AirPods Pro 2, the AirPods Pro 3. The tech giant’s newest set of earbuds sports a new look and comes with a few new features in addition to improvements to ANC and battery life.
To start off, these buds are smaller than the previous generation for a better fit. Aside from that, they come with new foam-infused ear tips in five different sizes. The entire package gets an IP57 rating for dust and water resistance.

The highlight of the AirPods Pro 3 is the Live Translation feature. Powered by computational audio and Apple Intelligence, it allows the wearer to communicate across different languages in real-time. Furthermore, the feature works with the iPhone, letting the user display a live transcription on the phone.
At the moment, Live Translation is in beta and supports English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish. That said, the company is planning to include four more languages by the end of the year, which are Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese.

In addition to this, the earbuds come with heart rate monitoring, courtesy of a custom photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor. Combined with the Fitness app, the user can start up to 50 different workout types and track their health metrics during each session.
As for the battery life, Apple claims that the buds can last up to eight hours. This is a slight bump from the six hours offered by the preceding model.

The AirPods Pro 3 is priced at RM999 according to the Apple Malaysia website. However, as of right now, the earbuds are not yet available for purchase, with the site advising customers to “check back later for availability”.
