Hisense has launched a new TV for the Malaysian market, and it’s one of the largest ones in recent memory. The TV is what the brand calls the 4K RGB MiniLED TV ULED X TV UX 116-inch, which is quite the mouthful. For what it’s worth, the company says that it’s the first of its kind.
To match its massive 116-inch size is its 8,000 nits peak brightness, 165Hz refresh rate, and its 95% BT.2020 standard colour coverage. Further enhancing the the viewing experience is the Hi-View AI Engine X for better image, sound and settings optimisation in real time. Speaking of which, there’s also the 6.2.2 CineStage X Surround system to fill the room, which Hisense says is developed in collaboration with the Opera de Paris.
Launched alongside the UX 116-inch is the Hisense 4K Laser Cinema PT1. The simplest way of describing this projector is that it’s a slightly smaller version of the PX3-Pro, which launched late last year. Similarly, it projects from 80 inches up to 150 inches and built-in Dolby Atmos sound. It is powered by RGB Triple Colour Laser tech, with IMAX Enhanced certification as well.
Accompanying these two are the range of Hisense QLED TV Q7Q and Q6Q TVs. Both series come in 55-, 65-, 75- and 85-inch sizes, support Dolby Vision and Quantum Dot Colour, and does 4K AI upscaling. That being said, only the former supports 144Hz refresh rate and HDMI 2.1.
Hisense says that everything launched today is already available for purchase. Naturally, the biggest ticket item is the UX 116-inch TV, which costs RM99,999. This is followed by the PT1 projector at RM24,999, so slightly more affordable than the PX3-Pro. For the QLED TV Q6Q series, Prices are RM2,399, RM3,499, RM5,299 and RM7,999 for the 55-, 65-, 75- and 85-inch models respectively. Similarly, the Q7Q series is priced at RM2,899, RM4,399, RM6,499 and RM9,399 respectively. You can find out more about each of them via the official Hisense Malaysia website.
