Blueshark Malaysia and its manufacturing partner EP Manufacturing Berhad (EPMB) has announced that the local assembly of the SoloEra Solo 1C electric bike has begun at its Glenmarie facility in Shah Alam. The companies also announced that more than 6,000 registrations have been recorded for the vehicle in just a month of its RM599 pre-launch campaign.
The company adds that the production of the Solo 2 and Solo 3 has also been kicked off, as the facility has the capability of producing 12,000 motorcycles per year. As reported before, the final cost of the Solo 1C is RM2,400, reason being that it is MARiiCAS scheme-eligible CKD model.

However, to get the bike at the stated price, there are a few terms and conditions that need to be fulfilled, which includes having a valid B2 licence and being a Malaysian, aged 18 and above. Customers will also need to pay a one-time deposit of RM278, which covers the bike’s charger, battery and connectivity module, along with the first month’s battery rental. After that, a monthly battery rental fee of RM59 and a connectivity charge of RM10 will apply for a duration of 60 months.
According to Blueshark, the full payment for the bike can be completed within one to six months. However, if the bike is not delivered within the stated timeframe, customers are eligible to request their deposit back.

Just to recap, the Solo 1C features an electric motor producing 2kW and is powered by a 1.97kWh battery. It has a top speed of 75 km/h and an NDEC range of 101 km, while charging is done through direct charge or battery swapping. It comes with four riding modes, including the ability to reverse, while other features include a security alarm, motor assist mode for reversing, Bluetooth remote, and remote control via app.
