YTL has officially unveiled a public preview of its upcoming digital bank, Ryt Bank, during the ongoing ASEAN AI Malaysia Summit 2025 at MITEC. Marketed as the country’s first AI-powered bank, it will feature a built-in Ryt AI chatbot powered by the company’s newly announced ILMU large language model (LLM).
Ryt Bank’s early preview is available via its booth at the ASEAN AI Malaysia Summit 2025 at MITEC until tomorrow on 13 August 2025. According to YTL, the digital bank is slated to publicly launch in September 2025.
The biggest highlight is the integration of Ryt AI into the banking experience. With its AI capabilities, users can perform certain transactions by simply snapping a photo or sending a screenshot. The chatbot’s contextual understanding allows for quick, natural-language interactions to process payments without needing to navigate traditional menus.

However, as both the app and chatbot are still in beta, some transaction types are not yet supported through Ryt AI and must be completed via the app’s main interface. YTL says it aims to expand supported features by the time Ryt Bank officially launches.
Since April this year, the Ryt Bank app has been available for download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Those interested can join the waitlist by providing their mobile phone number via the app, or by supplying their name and email address through the bank’s official website.
