The national carmaker Proton is gearing up to launch the eMAS 5. The hatchback EV made its first appearance at the Malaysia Auto Show (MAS 2025). Today, Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET) officially launched a preview tour for the EV, known as the MISI 5 Tour.
In this tour, the automaker is planning to preview the eMAS 5 across the country at selected popular tourist spots and eMAS dealerships. The purpose of the tour is to allow the public to have a firsthand experience engaging with the EV ahead of its launch.
The preview tour also, according to Proton, will showcase how it can be a perfect fit into the everyday lives of Malaysians—from young urban starters juggling work, classes, and social plans, to families handling school runs, errands, and weekend getaways. The tour will begin this month (August) and will be conducted until October 2025.
The tour will kick off in the central region and will be conducted from 8 August to 10 August and 15 to 17 August. On the dates from 9 to 17 August, it will be exclusively previewed at Proton eMAS dealerships at:
- 9 August: SG Car (Shah Alam), Wheelcorp (Setia Alam), EON (Glenmarie), and AJG (Puchong)
- 10 August: AJG (Sri Kembangan), Jawira (Balakong), ProAuto (Kajang), and Jewel Sonic (Putrajaya)

Furthermore, on 15 August, the hatchback will also make its appearance at some of the iconic places in the Klang Valley. The places include Batu Caves, Putra Mosque, Central Market, KLCC, and Saloma Bridge.
As for the northern region (Penang, Perak, and Kedah), it will be conducted from 21 to 25 August. From 4 to 8 September, the eMAS 5 will be showcased in the East Coast region (Pahang, Terengganu, and Kelantan). For the southern region, people in Johor can take a close look at the EV from 13 to 15 September.
