DJI has officially announced its first robot vacuum, the DJI Romo. After months of speculation and leaks, the company released a teaser through Weibo, setting the stage for a formal unveiling in China on 6 August 2025 at 8PM local time.
While full specifications are still under wraps, promotional materials have offered a first look at the Romo’s physical design. Apart from featuring dual front-facing brushes, the top of the robot vacuum exhibits a transparent design, akin to something you’d expect from brands like Nothing.

Also seen in the teaser is a semi-transparent docking station, which appears to combine storage and charging functions. DJI has not confirmed whether this specific dock will be included in retail packages, or if it is merely a conceptual or prototype design used for marketing purposes.

For now, the Romo appears to be targeted exclusively in China, with launch materials only shared via regional platforms and the company’s Chinese-language website. Still, DJI has indicated that Romo is being positioned for mass production, leaving the door open for wider international availability down the line.
