Leaks surrounding a potential 360-degree action camera by DJI have been making rounds for quite some time. Now, it appears that the company is finally gearing up to launch the device soon, with Malaysia included as a target market.
We’ve recently discovered that the upcoming action camera, confirmed to be called the DJI Osmo 360, is already included in SIRIM’s database. According to the listing, the device received approval from the organisation last week on 15 July 2025, filed under local distributor Azure Telecommunication Sdn Bhd.
With it already certified, we can expect that a local launch is imminent, but the big question is when. After all, despite the leaks, DJI itself has yet to officially announce the Osmo 360, while rumours are suggesting a late July release date.
For those who missed our previous coverage, the upcoming device is looking to be DJI’s answer to Insta360’s own line of 360-degree cameras. According to leaks, the Osmo 360 features a compact form factor, front and rear 180-degree cameras, and an LCD display.

Powering the cameras are said to be 1-inch CMOS sensors that can capture 120MP stills, and up to 8K at 30fps videos. Additionally, it comes with DJI’s HorizonSteady image stabilisation, gesture and voice recognition, as well as up to 180 minutes runtime via a replaceable battery.
As for pricing, leaksters Jasper Ellens and Igor Bogdanov (Quadro_News) have recently revealed that the DJI Osmo 360 is retailing at AUD759 (~RM2,092) for the Standard Combo and AUD989 (~RM2,726) for the Adventure Combo in Australia. Of course, we’ll only know how much the action camera will be priced locally once an official launch happens.
