UGREEN has introduced the MagFlow Magnetic Power Bank, the first device to receive official certification for the Qi 2.2 standard from the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC). This confirms that the power bank supports up to 25W wireless charging, the fastest speed currently available for any Qi-certified product. Alongside faster charging, the Qi 2.2 standard also promises improved thermal performance and greater safety.
Qi 2.2 standard supported by UGREEN’s MagFlow Magnetic Power Bank builds on the magnetic alignment introduced in Qi 2.0, a system that closely mirrors Apple’s MagSafe technology. By using a ring of magnets to secure a consistent alignment between the phone and charger, the system not only makes wireless charging more convenient but also more efficient, with less heat – something that helps preserve battery health over time.
UGREEN says the MagFlow Magnetic Power Bank is only the beginning of a broader MagFlow lineup expected to roll out later this year. The power bank itself is scheduled for release globally in Q3 2025, including for the Malaysian market.

At present, however, only Apple’s iPhone 16 series fully supports the Magnetic Power Profile (MPP) required for Qi 2.2 charging. Most Android phones still lack the necessary hardware, with devices like the Galaxy S25 offering limited support via accessories.
