Back when X started charging for the blue tick locally, the Premium subscription prices were pretty steep, starting from RM35. Then the platform introduced the Basic and Premium Plus tiers, which brings the price floor down to RM13.13. It’s been awhile since then, and the cost for said subscription has changed quite a bit. In fact, it now starts from RM9 in Malaysia.
Now, the Basic subscription plan for X costs RM9 a month, with Premium costing RM23 per month instead. Those who are already shelling out the big bucks for Premium Plus – ostensibly for SuperGrok – will see no change to their monthly bill, as it’s retaining its price of RM177 a month. Opt for an annual payment scheme and they get discounts of between 15% and 17%.

The reduction in price for tiers that are not Premium Plus will be nice for those who do pay for it, though neither gives you freedom from ads. Only those who opt for Premium Plus get that benefit, plus the aforementioned SuperGrok. Additional benefits include early access to new features, as well as something called Radar, which helps you track trends.
Also worth noting that while paying for the Basic tier grants you the ability to make longer posts and edit them, only the Premium tier grants you a blue tick. The blue tick also allows you to start monetising posts.
